Daniel Rock
Founder, Rock Growth Partners
I came to sales from IT, mostly because I liked solving the business problem more than the technical one. That was over 20 years ago. Since then I've led sales and revenue teams in IT and telco, recruitment, tax and SaaS, in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and now the US.
English by birth, 23 years in New Zealand, and these days based in Birmingham, Alabama. I've been a Chief Revenue Officer twice, through a doubling and a turnaround, and I've sat in a lot of board meetings explaining the number.
I'm also a bit of a nerd. I still build things myself, including an AI outbound engine and a marketing intelligence dashboard, written from scratch on LLM APIs and MCP. So when we talk about AI in your sales team, it comes from having done it, warts and all.
My approach hasn't changed much in two decades: get interested in people, be honest with them, and help them make a good decision. Selling mostly takes care of itself after that. I wrote a book about it.
Rock Growth Partners is how I bring that to companies that need a senior revenue leader but aren't ready for a full-time one, with the admin and operational support to back it up.
Lifelong Chelsea fan, so I'm comfortable with high expectations and the odd rebuild.
